PTC Elem. pair wins at state tech competition

A pair of PTC Elementary Panthers stole the show at the 2023 Georgia Student Technology Competition (GaSTC).

Peachtree City Elementary boasts a pair of 1st place winners. Aanika Patkar won Device Modification for the 3/4th grade division, and Saakshaat Sawhney won Mobile Apps for 5/6th grade.

Among other local students placing, Aiden Foxx from Flat Rock Middle finished 2nd in the 7/8th grade division in Audio Production. Priyanshi Mutreja from Booth Middle placed 2nd in the 7/8th grade division in Device Modification. Aadi Vaidya from McIntosh High placed 2nd in the 9/10th grade division in Device Modification. Vaughn Kerrane and Aston Pierce from Rising Starr Middle placed 2nd in the 7/8th grade division in Programming Challenge.

Gabrielle Gaines and Will Henderson from Peeples Elementary placed 3rd in the 3/4th grade division in 3D Modeling. Siddhant Nahar from Peeples Elementary placed 3rd in the 5/6th grade division in Animation. Max Spurlock from Sara Harp Minter Elementary placed 3rd in the 5/6th grade division in Internet Applications. Sri Vishaka Senthilnathan from Peachtree City Elementary placed 3rd in the 5/6th grade division in Robotics. Logan Walters, Luke Walters, and Brady Bowers from Starr’s Mill High placed 3rd in the 11/12th grade division in Programming Challenge.

GaSTC is a statewide technology competition where students in grades 3-12 compete in a variety of technology categories with a goal to challenge students to become leaders in a digital age.
