The Flat Rock Food Box is bringing fresh produce to you.

The Food Box is a paid subscription that helps the Eagles make long-range budget plans to keep the Flat Rock Middle Food Forest, where students grow their own fruits vegetables, thriving. Boxes are delivered 3 times a month, either to a student’s homeroom or for pickup at the school’s front office.

Offerings change according to season and can range from tomatoes, bell peppers, and watermelon in the summer to squash and herbs in the fall to tea blends and herbs in the winter to radishes, greens, seeds, and strawberries in the spring. The box also includes recipes you can try at home!

The one-month subscription is just $30, and spots have been selling out.

For information on subscribing to the Flat Rock Food Box, email Sarah Thompson at [email protected].
