McIntosh High’s Bella Voce choir was selected to perform for the prestigious Georgia Music Educators Association state conference on Friday, January 26 in Athens, GA.

Being selected for the conference is the choir equivalent of a state championship, according to McIntosh Director of Choirs Richard Prouty. Hundreds of choirs apply each year to be selected. Only four to six are picked, and only three of those are high school women’s choirs.

“We have been working really hard on this program for several months now, and I could not be more proud of them,” said Prouty.

The public is invited to a preview performance on Tuesday, January 23 at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City.

“I know that these girls would absolutely love to see their community in the audience that evening to show their support of this amazing accomplishment.”
