Suzanne Lane, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at the age of 80.  Suzanne is survived by her daughter Tracy (Rod) Patino, Grandchildren, Jessica (Trevor) Larson and Ryan Patino, Great grandson, Riley Larson, Sister, Sandy Clodfelter, and her beloved cat, Sunny.

Born on September 11, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Suzanne was the cherished daughter of William and Mary Jane Sunafrank. Her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, when she was two years old, and she spent her childhood there with her sister, Sandy Clodfelter before marrying the love of her life, William “Terry” Lane.

Although Suzanne did not attend Texas A&M, she was as much an aggie as Terry was. She embraced the Aggie life and like Terry, cherished the lifelong friendships she made with the E-2 brotherhood and their wives.

Suzanne embraced her role as a military wife with enthusiasm, excelling in the social and community responsibilities that came with it. She joined clubs, played bridge, and supported her husband in his career with unwavering dedication.

Suzanne and Terry raised two children, Patrick and Tracy, and she was a devoted stay-at-home mother during their school years. She volunteered at their schools, served in the PTA, and provided steadfast support in their lives. Suzanne cherished her family deeply and spoke with her children daily, always eager to hear about their lives.

Suzanne and Terry moved to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1983. She finally was able to settle in one place and made the most of it. Suzanne became a real estate agent and started a property management company until she retired. She was an active member of the garden club, volunteered regularly and was very active in her church. Suzanne was very social and made friends wherever she went. She was blessed to have friendships that lasted over 30 years. Every Wednesday night Suzanne could be found at the “old farts” dinner and on Fridays could be found with her friends enjoying themselves at estate sales. When not being social in Peachtree City, Suzanne and Terry traveled the world and had the opportunity to explore and discover over 100 countries.

Like Terry, Suzanne had a deep love for animals. She adored her newfoundlands and made lasting friendships with so many people while participating in dog shows, water trials and obedience training. After Terry passed away, Pickle was always at her side and was a devoted companion. At night while Suzanne read, you could always find her cat Sunny on her lap.

Suzanne’s greatest joy was being able to watch her grandchildren Jessica and Ryan grow up and be a part of their lives. She often expressed how proud she was of both. Being able to spend this past year with her great grandson, Riley brought her such immense joy. She lived for his visits, FaceTime sessions and daily photos. Suzanne was an amazing woman who lived her life to the fullest. She never complained, never gave up and was always there for her friends and family.  She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11 am at All Saints Anglican Church. Burial will follow at West Minister Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 5pm -7pm at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to your local humane society or Newfoundland Health Challenge & NCA Charitable Trust.
