A plethora of police descended on the Peachtree City Target to apprehend a person in mental health crisis on Sunday afternoon. According to the Peachtree City Police Department Facebook page the person had climbed into the ceiling of Target and refused to come out. “The subject has since been taken into custody safely and is receiving medical treatment,” the post states.

There’s no threat to the community, but officers remained at Target for a while to assess property damage. According to patrons posting in a local Facebook group, Target remained closed for a time, but reopened at about 4:10 p.m.
