On Sunday, February 9, 2025, Winslow Thomas “Tom” White, 81, peacefully went home to be with Jesus. Tom was a man of many talents—an avid golfer, a published author, a gifted photographer, a dedicated ham radio operator, a proud veteran, a creative inventor, and, most importantly, a loving husband, father and grandfather. His legacy of passion, curiosity, and service will be remembered by all who knew him.

Tom White was born in Spokane, Washington on May 27, 1943, to Cora Maxine and Peregrine Prentiss White. On December 10, 1966, while serving in the Air Force in England, Tom married the love of his life, Sharon White. Together over 58 years, they built a lifetime of cherished memories, living in England, California, Mississippi, and Georgia throughout the years. Their journey was filled with love, adventure, and unwavering devotion to one another and to the Lord.

Tom built a career in sales and technical roles, using his gift for connecting with people to make a lasting impact. A natural problem-solver, he had a talent for fixing anything and approached every challenge with creativity and skill. Never one to remain idle, Tom worked part-time as an Enterprise driver in retirement, a role he truly loved all the way up until a week before he was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor. He also remained passionate about golf, photography, and writing. His creativity, resourcefulness, and warm spirit will be deeply missed. His family will forever treasure his steadfast love and dedication.

Tom had a heart full of love for his church family, always ready to listen, encourage, and lend a helping hand. His faith was his guiding light, and he often shared that keeping the faith was life’s most important calling. A devoted husband, he honored his wife throughout their life together, providing constant love and support in every moment.

Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon White; his children Heather Wray, Marc White and Matthew White (Ellie White-Stevens); his grown grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas and Mackenzie Wray, and Ash and Nathan White; his brother Al (Nina) White; his sister Kathy (Phil) Vance.
