Fayette FACTOR, Inc. (Fayette Alliance Connecting Together Our Resources) is proud to announce the promotion of Tara Hannon to Director of Programs. This appointment reflects Hannon’s extensive experience, deep-rooted passion for youth development, and unwavering commitment to strengthening community resources in Fayette County.

Hannon’s journey with Fayette FACTOR began as a dedicated member of the Drug Free Fayette Coalition, where her leadership and advocacy in substance abuse prevention quickly became evident. In her most recent role as Project Coordinator and Youth Liaison for Drug Free Fayette, she has played a pivotal role in expanding and implementing Youth Action Team Programs in four Fayette County high schools. These initiatives, guided by SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework, have successfully empowered local youth to lead prevention efforts in their schools and communities.

With a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and professional Masters level certifications in Life Coaching, Relationship Consulting, and Spiritual Mentorship, Hannon brings a holistic approach to leadership, ensuring that Fayette FACTOR’s programs continue to evolve and meet the needs of the community.

Tara’s expertise extends beyond substance abuse prevention, demonstrating a well-rounded commitment to youth and family well-being:

  • Certified Instructor in the Prime for Life Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Intervention Curriculum – Hannon has been instrumental in delivering evidence-based substance abuse prevention programming to youth and young adults ages 11-25, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make healthier choices.
  • Program Manager for the Triple P Positive Parenting Program – As an accredited Level 3 and Level 4 provider, she has worked in collaboration with multiple agencies across Fayette County to implement and expand Triple P (Positive Parenting Program). This initiative, funded through a Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) grant and in partnership with the City of Fayetteville, equips parents with practical strategies to support their children’s behavioral and emotional development.

Dawn Oparah, Executive Director of Fayette FACTOR, expressed her enthusiasm for Hannon’s promotion, stating:

“Tara has been an invaluable part of our organization, and we are excited to see her step into this leadership role. Her dedication, expertise, and innovative approach to youth development and community engagement make her the ideal Director of Programs. We look forward to the continued growth and impact she will bring to our programs and new initiatives.”

Fayette FACTOR remains committed to enhancing the well-being of youth and families in Fayette County. With Hannon at the helm of program leadership, the organization is poised to expand its reach and deepen its impact.
