The Taste of Senoia, hosted since 2010 by the Senoia Optimist Club, is scheduled for Sunday, April 27^th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in downtown Senoia. The list of participating restaurants is being developed, but – if it’s anything like other recent years – the majority of the local restaurants / eateries will provide you with delicious food “tastes” either at their downtown properties or at the Senoia Farmers’ Market. In addition, food trucks offering delicious items will be set up at the Farmers’ Market.

To those who may be new to the Taste of Senoia, the day of the event you can purchase food tickets for $1 each. The Optimists are planning to sell tickets at the Senoia Masonic Lodge (19 Main Street), the Senoia Farmers’ Market (40 Travis Street), and at a tent set up on the sidewalk near City Hall (80 Main Street). Information will be provided that day regarding what each restaurant is serving and how many tickets each item will cost, so you can determine how many tickets you’ll want to purchase. This same information is expected to also be available on the club’s Facebook page (“Senoia Optimist Club”) and its web site (https://optimistclubofsenoia.org/) prior to the actual event.

Take your tickets to the participating establishments and use them to get their delicious tastes for the event. The restaurants determine what they will serve and the number of tickets required for each item.

In addition to the wonderful food offerings associated with Taste of Senoia, there will be a premier raffle for a 7-day stay at Club Wyndham Vacation Resorts in Destin, Florida. The vacation is set up for July 6-12, 2025, and the 3-bedroom resort sleeps up to 8. This special getaway is valued at $6,600.

New for this year is that you can now purchase your premier raffle tickets online. Tickets are $50 each and only 300 will be sold, so each ticket holder will have a great chance of winning! The premier raffle tickets are available now and can be purchased at https://optimistclubofsenoia.org/taste-of-senoia/. Those who purchase the premier raffle tickets online will receive a picture of their actual ticket via email. If tickets for the premier raffle are still available the day of the event, you can purchase them at either the Masonic Lodge (19 Main Street), the Farmers Market (40 Travis Street), or the tent near City Hall (80 Main Street) where tickets for “tastes” can be purchased. The drawing will be near 4:00 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge on April 27, and you do NOT have to be present to win.

Also new, the tickets for food tastes will soon be set up for purchase in advance online. Watch for updates on the club’s Facebook page. For “taste” tickets sold online in advance of the event, the Optimists plan to have a special “Will Call” table set up to quickly provide tickets to the purchasers.

In addition to the wonderful food offerings and the fantastic premier raffle for the trip to Destin, there will be raffles inside the Masonic Lodge (19 Main Street) for a wide assortment of great items. Winners for these raffles will also be announced at 4:00 p.m. that day.   

Some of the highlights of the Taste of Senoia are as follows:

• Most Senoia restaurants/eateries will provide tastes of one or more of their delicious foods.
• Raffle items, many of which are being donated by local businesses / vendors, will be at the Masonic Lodge (19 Main Street).
• A premier raffle will be held for a 7 day stay at Destin, FL ($6,600 value); tickets are now available online.
• Food taste tickets are only $1 each (most tastes are 2 to 4 tickets), and tickets will soon be available online
• Musicians will perform at the courtyard below the Masonic Lodge and at the Senoia Farmers’ Market.
• The event is scheduled for Sunday April 27^th, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

The annual Taste of Senoia on April 27^th in downtown Senoia is promising to be a great time of food and fun!  As mentioned above, you can sample foods from many of the local restaurants / eateries and also enter raffles with some wonderful prizes.  Funds raised will be used in supporting numerous youth-oriented projects, including scholarships, that the Senoia Optimist Club undertakes each year.
