“Naturalizing your Landscape with Native Plants” is the topic of the monthly public presentation by garden designer Tricia Neal at the Fayette Master Gardener Association (FMGA) meeting Tuesday, March 18, at 10 a.m. at The Bridge Community Center, 225 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City.
After a welcoming social time at 9:30 a.m., the program will begin, followed by an 11 a.m. business meeting. The non-profit gardening club is open to all interested in gardening, including master gardeners and other gardeners.
Tricia was a biologist at Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta for thirty years, retiring in 2017. She has more than 30 years of experience in creating wildlife habitat and designing gardens for pollinators, birds and wildlife and is the owner of Wild Roots Native Nursery.
The group meets monthly August – May for horticultural emphasis presentations and hosts an annual plant sale. Proceeds from this event supports Fayette non-profit community horticultural projects and a college scholarship for Fayette residents majoring in horticulture or agriculture.
This year’s plant sale will be Saturday, April 12, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fayetteville at the Stonewall Government complex, 140 Stonewall Ave. W.
