The Yellow Daisy Co-owner Jeremy Sweeney reported that his family is shutting down their antique store after six years of operations in Tyrone. “We’re doing like 60 to 75% off sales on everything right now,” said Sweeney.

Sweeney, a schoolteacher at Newnan High School, his brother Cody, a mailman in Sharpsburg, and his sister Beth Sweeney, also a school teacher, have been operating the store on weekends only. Sweeney said, “It’s a family business. Me and my brother both have 3-year-old daughters now that we would just rather spend time with on the weekends.”

After the store closes, Jeremy Sweeney will continue to sell local honey and a few other things at Shirts Atlanta in Tyrone.

The Yellow Daisy is located at 1003 Senoia Road in Tyrone. Their last chances to shop are Friday, March 28 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturdays, March 29, April 5 and April 12 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.. Everything but local honey is marked down.

Cody, Beth and Jeremy Sweeney co-owned The Yellow Daisy in Tyrone, which is going out of business in April.
