The 5th graders from Crabapple Lane Elementary came out on top at the Econ Games held at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta.

There were a total of 6 teams from Crabapple Lane, North Fayette, and Peeples competing against students from schools across metro Atlanta.

Crabapple Lane won Gold in the 5th grade division. The champion Cardinals are Isla Etherington, Jayda Harris-Cabell, Tara Rowland, and Reagan Steele. They are coached by Jill Earnhart.

Peeples Elementary finished 2nd place in the 5th grade division, and Crabapple Lane also placed 3rd in the 4th grade division.

The Econ Games is a competitive event for 4th and 5h grade students. Over three rounds, the teams apply their knowledge of economics and personal finance by creating and participating in an assembly line, taking a critical thinking test, and developing and presenting an idea for a product that solves a real-world problem.
