Peachtree City, GA – April 4, 2025 – The highly anticipated Battle for the Troops Soccer Match between McIntosh High School and Starr’s Mill High School is set to take place on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the McIntosh High School Stadium. This exciting event will feature both the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams in a thrilling display of athleticism and community spirit. The battle is both on and off the field in honor of our first responders and military service individuals.

The girls’ varsity game will kick off at 6:00 PM, followed by the boys’ varsity game at 8:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats and enjoy the pre-game festivities along with the honoree presentation between games.

This year’s honoree is Christopher Judy, a beloved teacher of the McIntosh High School community known for his dedication and military service. Christopher’s contributions have made a significant impact, and we are proud to recognize him during this special event.

In addition to the exciting soccer action, the event will also support a noble cause. All donations will go directly to Tails of Hope, a local charity that is an all-inclusive organization serving anyone who could benefit from a service dog. 

“We are thrilled to host the Battle for the Troops Soccer Match and bring our community together for a night of fun, competition, and charity,” said McIntosh High School Athletic Director, James Patterson. “This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our student-athletes, honor Christopher Judy, and support Tails of Hope.”

Tickets for the Battle for the Troops Soccer Match are available for purchase through GoFan or at the McIntosh High School stadium gate. Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children. All military service members and first responders are invited to attend for free (please have ID to show at the gate).
