What’s up my Eaters!!  I hope you are well and that our time apart has been well spent.  When I was thinking about you all for this week’s column, I could not stop thinking about the events some of you are planning.  All the weddings, graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries for some of you.  Engagements, bridal showers, and corporate retreats for others.  As you conceptualize and plan, I wanted to help you in a major way.  This week I want to introduce you to Sanctuaire Atelier, a boutique events venue.

If you leave Fayette County and head southeast 35 minutes you’ll find the small rural town of Williamson, Georgia.  Williamson is the type of place where there are more cows than people, pickup trucks are necessary, and people still make biscuits from scratch every day.  Nestled in these woods is where you will find one of the most special boutique venues metro Atlanta has to offer.

I first became aware of Sanctuaire Atelier a few years ago through a social media advertisement.  I remember being taken just by the photos.    I had to go see it in person.  I departed from my house and took the country drive to Williamson.  The further I drove, the more intrigued I became.  I found myself trying to reconcile the beautifully captivating images I saw online against the mundane rural landscape I was experiencing as I made my way to the venue.  After 45 minutes, I was greeted at the entrance by a tall cement and wrought iron gate.  I immediately felt as though I was entering a fairytale.  I made my way down the long meandering driveway and went over the coolest little bridge.  I passed a quaint little guest cottage and then the main house too.  At the end of the long driveway, the property opens to a beautiful pasture of wildflowers.  It is flanked to the right by a large patio and a recently renovated reception hall.  It was breathtakingly beautiful.

I parked in front of the reception hall.  As I got out of my car, I was greeted by Evalina, the owner.  She spent the next hour with me.  We walked around most of the property.  We toured the cottage, which can be bundled in with any event.  It is also available as an Airbnb for your next country- cottage staycation.    We also toured the reception hall.   It is spacious and has two large overhanging doors that can be opened to bring the outside in.  Evalina described to me in detail the various ways that she and her team can accommodate perspective clients.  Her knowledge and passion for hosting and curating experiences was apparent.  I left that evening knowing that I wanted to produce an event at Sanctuaire Atelier and that I wanted to let as many people as possible know about this beautiful treasure of a venue.

It took a few years, but last year I was finally able to host an event with Evalina.  Sanctuaire Atelier served as the perfect backdrop for my annual Celebrate Georgia farm to table dinner.  The evening was extraordinary.  The beautiful landscape kissed by the golden hue of the country sunset is a picture that I will never forget. The sounds of laughter, conversation, and spoken word poetry were the entertainment for the evening.  It was a dream come true.

The business behind Sanctuaire Atelier was impeccable as well.  Evalina’s communication and professionalism were appreciated.  Her prices were competitive and again, she was extremely accommodating to our vision.  I cannot say enough about how beautiful the venue is and how amazing it is that we live in such close proximity to such a wonderful resource.  You will certainly appreciate the care and attention to detail that Sanctuaire Atelier offers.

The venue is one of a kind.  The business was handled with care and competence.  However, what truly sets Sanctuaire Atelier apart were the people.  They were the magic.  It was a pleasure to work with Evalina and her team.  Their attention to detail truly added a dimension to my event that otherwise would not have been there.  Evalina’s servant’s heart and stewardship of Sanctuaire Atelier allowed me to create an experience that still has my guests talking and I am sure they will do the same to yours.  At the time of this writing, Sanctuaire Atelier still had 2025 dates available.  Reach out to Evalina and let her help you create your own moment.

Feel free to come see me or my team this and every Saturday at the Peachtree City Farmer’s Market.  You can also find much more of my food and insights at https://www.youtube.com/@Theeatingchambers/videos
