Peachtree City, GA (April 21, 2025) – Fayette Humane Society has received a $15,000 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of their lifesaving work for pets in Fayette County and surrounding areas.
Petco Love is a national nonprofit leading change for pets by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested nearly $410 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. And Petco Love helps find loving homes for pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations — like ours — across North America, with nearly 7 million pets adopted and counting.
“Our investment in Fayette Humane Society is part of more than $12M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love. “Our local investments are only part of our strategy to empower animal lovers to drive lifesaving change right alongside us. We launched Petco Love Lost, a free national lost and found database that uses photo-matching technology to simplify the search for lost pets.”
“This past year, we achieved remarkable milestones in saving pet lives and remain steadfast in our vision and strategies to meet the growing demand,” said Rick DeLoach, President of Fayette Humane Society. “With the generous investment and support of Petco Love, we are closer than ever to ensuring that every pet in our community has the chance to thrive as part of a loving family. Together, we can make this vision a reality.”
Fayette Humane Society is at the heart of animal rescue in Fayette County. This past year, it has placed 800 pets in loving homes, helped spay and neuter 290 pets of qualified-income families, and expanded its Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return program to reduce pet overpopulation at its source.

About Fayette Humane Society
Incorporated in 1973, the Fayette Humane Society is the oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare in Fayette County, Georgia. Entirely volunteer-run and funded by individual and corporate donations, we do not operate a shelter. Instead, the animals we rescue are cared for in a network of foster homes until they find their forever families. Our mission also extends beyond rescue and rehoming. Through spay and neuter initiatives, community education and outreach programs, we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them.
