Harriett Ann Thomas, beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Fayetteville, Georgia, at the age of 72. She was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, on April 19, 1952. Harriett was a woman of faith, strong character, and boundless love. She spent the early years of her children’s lives as a stay-at-home mom before returning to the workforce as a speech pathologist and entrepreneur. She founded H.A.T. Rehab, a rehabilitation company that reflected her dedication to helping others. She loved Jesus, family vacations, growing vegetables in her garden, decorating with impeccable taste, and her regular hair, nail, and skin appointments. Harriett had a funny and outgoing spirit. She was a lifelong learner who placed a high value on education and fiercely loved her children and grandchildren. She traveled around the world as a young adult, and she had a full and fun life. She is survived by her children, Tristin Nicole Thomas Harper (Jason) and Tanner Norman Thomas (Brittany). She is survivors by four grandchildren, Alexis Harper, Timothy Jack (TJ) Harper, Tenley Thomas, and Tessa Thomas. She is also survived by her bonus mother Rosalie Darks, brother Greg Howard (Donna), sister-in-law Leanne Brumley, brother, Andrew Darks (Barbara Tadlock), niece Brittany Neumann (Christopher), and nephew Matthew Howard (Kaitlin) and a great niece and two great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maxwell H. Darks and Helen J. Darks and her brother Scotty Howard and other cherished loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held on: Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Southern Hills Baptist Church Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Flowers are appreciated, but in honor of Harriett’s legacy, the family would appreciate donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
