Congratulations to this week’s Citizen of the Week, Kay McInroe.
A tireless advocate, connector, and leader, Kay McInroe embodies the spirit of service that defines our community.
As a real estate professional, she has over two decades of experience and a reputation for excellence, she has consistently ranked in the top 2% of agents globally within Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Twice named Fayette County REALTOR® of the Year and a past President of the Fayette County Board of REALTORS®, Kay is known for her professionalism, mentorship, and advocacy within the industry. She specializes in relocation, luxury homes, and helping families find not just a house—but a true sense of home. Her deep market knowledge and heart for service make her a trusted guide through one of life’s most important decisions.
Her impact extends far beyond real estate. Kay currently serves as Board President of Southside Support, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families with special needs. Under her leadership, the organization has grown in strength, stability, and reach.
When Southside Support underwent a leadership transition, Kay stepped up without hesitation—overseeing critical operations, mentoring the new executive director, and coordinating major events like the Special Needs Educational Expo and the annual Gala. Through these initiatives, she helped connect hundreds of families with essential resources and raised significant funds to sustain vital programs.
In 2024 alone, she co-chaired the spring golf tournament to fund scholarships for Two Sparrows Village and continued to lead inclusive family events and caregiver support groups. Whether hosting fundraisers or cultivating a volunteer network, Kay leads with compassion and clarity, always focused on creating a more inclusive and supportive community.
Kay McInroe is more than a community leader—she is a force for good whose legacy is defined by empowerment, connection, and care.
