EDIT: These two juveniles have been found and are being reunited with their families according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Department. As as they are underage, their names have been removed from our story.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating two runaway juveniles who may be headed toward the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The juveniles voluntarily left Coweta County in the early morning hours of Aug. 13, 2025. At approximately 10:30 a.m. that day, the pair were reportedly traveling together in a vehicle involved in an accident on Interstate 40 in Knoxville, Tenn.

Authorities say the juveniles left the crash scene in an unknown red sedan traveling eastbound. Neither is believed to have a cell phone.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts or travel plans is asked to contact Investigator K. Crockett at [email protected] or call 911 immediately if they are seen.
