McIntosh was named to the 100 Best W!se High Schools Teaching Personal Finance list.

The national honor, now in its 13th year, is the only ranking of its kind. It highlights schools whose students demonstrate exceptional performance on the W!se Financial Literacy Certification Test, which serves as the final assessment for the Financial Literacy pathway and an industry-recognized credential.

The financial services pathway is a three-year journey which includes the classes Introduction to Business, Financial Literacy, and Banking and Investing. Every student enrolled in the pathway takes the certification exam at the end of their third year. Their scores reflect not just content mastery, but also their ability to apply key concepts like budgeting, credit management, taxes, and investing in real-life situations.

“I’m proud that our students not only earned this honor but did so through a course that empowers them to make informed financial decisions well beyond high school,” said McIntosh teacher Allen Beall.
