In Loving Memory of Patty McCarrey

Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patty McCarrey, 76, of Fayetteville, Georgia who died August 8, 2025. Patty was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on March 23, 1949, but spent most of her life in Georgia. 

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie McCarrey, a brother Alan and Tracy Laratta, nephews Kristopher Laratta, Logan Laratta, and nieces Jamie Laratta and Ali Laratta. Also, special cousin Laura Jean Bennett, and sister n law Debbie Laratta.

She was preceded in death by her parents Patsy and Teresa Laratta and a brother Robert Laratta. 

Patty was a stewardess with Delta airlines for 47 years allowing her to travel the world. She graduated from the University of Georgia and was an avid “Bulldog” fan. One of her favorite passions was watching UGA football. 

Raising her daughter Stephanie and watching her become an independent, successful woman was one of her greatest joys.

Patty faced Parkinson’s with determination and courage just as she did in her everyday life.
