11Alive reported that three people were hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a road rage incident led to a four-vehicle crash on Newnan Crossing Bypass, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Troopers told 11Alive News that the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu braked suddenly, striking a black 2017 Nissan Rogue. Both vehicles lost control, crossing into the northbound lane. The Rogue collided with a white 2001 Ford F-150, while the Malibu hit a white 2023 GMC Sierra.
GSP said both the Malibu and the Rogue vaulted and rolled over in the crash. Two people were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, and another was transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Authorities did not release which vehicles the injured occupants were in.
The northbound lane was closed for about an hour while troopers investigated, and the roadway has since reopened.
