Whitewater Middle School was the spot for the 1st Annual Fayette County Public Schools Teaching & Learning Conference, bringing together 40 presenters and more than 250 teachers learning from each other on the first day of summer.

The event was created to offer professional learning opportunities to teachers across the district at all levels and all subject areas where they could absorb the leadership of and collaborate with other teachers, content coaches, and coordinators. Presenters focused on content that “sparks” thinking for the next school year, whether in specific standards or general concepts.

The conference was a great team effort. It was co-sponsored by the Fayette County Public Schools Curriculum Department and the Digital Learning Department. Students with Rising Starr Middle’s Hall Pass Entertainment designed a logo and created a promotional video.
