The families of Inman Elementary have big hearts, and their hearts are healthy, too. Through their work on the Kids Heart Challenge program, Inman Elementary has been named one of the American Heart Association’s “Top 25 Schools” in Metro Atlanta.

The Kids Heart Challenge raises money to help kids with special hearts and teach about taking care of our hearts. At Inman Elementary, they take part in a week-long jump rope unit where students can raise funds for the American Heart Association while receiving prizes and awards. The AHA receives 100 percent of donations raised, and the Top 25 “Heart of Gold” honor means Inman was among the biggest fundraisers in Metro Atlanta.

To celebrate the school’s tremendous generosity, Elizabeth Ellis, Youth Market Director for the Southeast Region of the American Heart Association, presented Inman Elementary Principal Tabitha Walker and PE teacher Toby Black with a Top 25 “Heart of Gold” certificate.
