Author Jennifer Coburn will be at Peachtree City Library on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m., to talk about her book, Cradles of the Reich (Sourcebooks, 2022). A book signing will follow with books for sale on site by Book Miser.

Cradles of the Reich is a historical novel based on true events frighteningly reminiscent of Margret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. A book club must-read, Cradles of the Reich was inspired by the largely untold stories of the Lebensborn program, Himmler’s state-supported housing for young women whose sole purpose was to give birth to pure blooded Aryan children to be raised by SS families as future leaders of the new Nazi Germany.

Coburn has also published a mother-daughter travel memoir, We’ll Always Have Paris, as well as six contemporary women’s novels. She lives in San Diego with her husband, William. When she is not going down historical research rabbit holes, Coburn volunteers with So Say We All, a live storytelling organization, where she is a performer, producer, and performance coach. She is also an active volunteer with Reality Changers, a nonprofit that supports low-income high school students in becoming the first in their families to attend college.

The book talk is free and open to the public.
