A burglary early on the morning of March 13 at Jones Pharmacy on North Glynn Street in Fayetteville resulted in the theft of an undetermined quantity of prescription drugs.

Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw said the alarm at Jones Pharmacy was activated shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday. An officer was in the area checking another building and heard the alarm sounding. A call came in from 911 almost simultaneously alerting him to the pharmacy location.

The officer arrived at the pharmacy and checked the building’s exterior, finding a crowbar on the ground and the drive-thru window broken, Crawshaw said.

The owner was alerted and, upon arrival, found that an undetermined quantity of prescription drugs were missing.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.
