Eagle Scouts Bird and Siguenza ready to soar

Quinn Bird and Nolan Siguenza are two well-rounded young men who achieved their Eagle Scout Rank, Boy Scout’s highest, on December 10, 2024. Troop 201 sent in congratulations for them and also explained that, “These young men each designed and built storage solutions for the Starr’s Mill High School soccer team.  Both are seniors at Starr’s Mill High School.”

Who are Quinn Bird and Nolan Siguenza?

Quinn Bird is active in the arts and intellectual pursuits. Bird said, “I’m the 2nd Chair Cellist in Starr’s Mill High School and played cello for 7 years.”

He’s also in the Varsity History Bowl team, a Beta Club Member and a National Honor Society Member. He’s also active in theater, as an International Thespian Society Member.

He still makes time for Boy Scouts because he said, “What Boy Scouts has meant to me is it’s a place where you not only grow as a person, but you grow as a leader and develop skills that are fundamental for your future.”

Nolan Siguenza has varying interests, from athletic to entrepreneurial to volunteering. He’s played three years of varsity tennis at Starr’s Mill High school, and also seven years of recreational basketball.

Siguenza has a freelance photography business. You can find his work at @sigoonzashootz on Instagram. And he has a hair styling business that you can find @sigoonza on Tiktok.

Even with his athletics and social media businesses, he makes time for Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America Club. Skills USA Club, Film Club, and even Chess Club.

Siguenza also is a volunteer at Midwest Food Bank and has been in his church youth group for six years. With his broad experience in different kinds of activities, Siguenza said, “Boy Scouts has provided the best foundation I could imagine for me to experience all what life has to offer.”

Troop 201 finished 2024 with eight scouts earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Troop 201 meets Monday nights, 7:00pm, at New Providence Church in Fayetteville.
