On Wednesday, December 18th, the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (armyav.org), Hampton, GA., proudly escorted Santa Claus by helicopter to a landing zone in Fayetteville’s Trilith Community.  Close to 75 students from the Joseph Sams School, their teachers, many parents and dozens of Trilith residents were waiting to welcome and meet Santa.  As he visited with the students and handed out gifts, the vintage UH1 Huey Helicopter, a veteran of the Vietnam and First Gulf Wars was visited by many of the children and adults, including several veterans, until Santa bid farewell and climbed aboard to head back to colder temperatures at the North Pole.
