When truck driver shortages threatened schools’ annual Thanksgiving Feast plans, the Fayette County School Nutrition Program office staff didn’t stand around flapping their wings, they got to work.
With no other way to ensure the birds would reach their destinations, staff delivered over 150 cases of turkeys in their personal vehicles to make sure students and staff have their annual Thanksgiving meal.
