Roger Eugene “Gene” Blythe, 87, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away July 15, 2021. He was born on October 19, 1933, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Roger and Grace Blythe.

Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Mary Helen Bennett, Gene is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sarah Frances Blythe; sons, Roger (Connie) Blythe, Jr. and Russell (Lindsay) Blythe; and his grandchildren, Robert (Kathryn), Richard, Ryder, Rhett, and Reece Blythe.

The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Funeral services will follow at the Chapel at 12:00 PM with Pastor Ken Helms officiating. Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Flowers are welcome but in lieu of flowers the family also welcomes contributions be made in Gene’s name to Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church, 1183 Hwy 92, Fayetteville, GA, 30215.
