Carolyn H. Parrish, 80, of Gay, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20th, 2018.

Born July 16, 1937 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of late Norris and Sara Freel.

Mema, as she was affectionately known, was an independent and strong willed woman who loved her family and friends well!   She loved watching tennis and NASCAR, but her favorite sports were any and all sports that her children and grandchildren participated in, from wrestling to cheerleading.

Carolyn is survived by her three sons, Steven Parrish, Bobby Parrish and wife, of Peachtree City, Ga., and James Parrish and wife, of Haralson, Ga.; a brother, Norris Freel, Jr., of Forked River, NJ.; six grandchildren, Jessica, Stacy, Steven, Kacey, Kaitlynn, and Jonathan; and eight great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga.  The family received friends during that time.
