Matthew Aaron Howard, 34, of Atlanta, passed away on March 4, 2013.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Charlie A. Rogers and James L. Howard.

He is survived by his mother, Gail and step-father, (Tommy) Gilbert of Fayetteville; father, James Ronald Howard of Fayetteville; step-brother, Tommy (Suzy) Gilbert, Jr. of Fayetteville; step-sister, Lisa Evans of Newnan; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Rogers of Thomaston; paternal grandmother, Opal T. Howard of Fayetteville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous close friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Chuck Chambers will officiate. The burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

The family received friends on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
