Learnard: Try positive leadership

How sad it was to open The Citizen newspaper last week, and witness the negative tirades of three citizens who ought to know better.

Haddix, Dienhart, and Bloom used perfectly good print space not to promote our wonderful city or share their vision for meeting our city’s challenges, but to throw down a gauntlet of lies, accusations, and posturing.

If this is what passes for leadership, then Peachtree City is in real trouble.

Let’s all vow that in the next municipal election, which is six long months away, we will support candidates who prove to us they can work together in good faith; they are genuinely interested in solving our city’s problems; and they are positive in thought, word, and deed.
