North Fayette Elementary students Kendall Knox and Zanzillus McBride were winners in the Inspirational Messages of Peace Contest.

Knox, a 3rd grader, won for “The Dream,” and McBride, a 4th grader, won for “I Too Have a Dream.”

Hosted by the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park and Preservation District and International World Peace Rose Gardens, the contest is in conjunction with the 33rd Anniversary Celebration of the ‘I Have a Dream’ World Peace Rose Garden at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park.

All winning students are invited to read their poems during the celebration on May 15, 2025. More than 4,000 students participated in this year’s competition.
