Meet May: A Fun-Loving Pup with a Heart Full of Joy

What better time to meet a pup named May than in the month of May? This playful, expressive 5-month-old is everything we love about spring—fresh energy, joy, and the promise of new beginnings. She’s the perfect size for any adventure, currently weighing just over 20 pounds, and likely to stay a “petite-medium” sized girl—ideal for both cuddles and outdoor fun.

Full of puppy energy and curiosity, May is friendly, treat-motivated, and already showing promise as a quick learner. She’s eager to please and would do well with someone willing to help her grow up with gentle positivity. She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine playmate or an active family ready to keep up with her fun-loving spirit. 

While some dogs shy away from the rain and hate getting their feet wet, May sees it as just another chance to play! One of her favorite mornings at the shelter was spent happily splashing through puddles—ears up, tail wagging, and face full of glee. She’d be a wonderful match for someone who loves the outdoors, but will be just as happy to curl up at home after a good walk or play session. 

Whether it’s hiking, exploring the backyard, or snuggling after a fun day, May will make a delightful companion. She’s a happy, social pup who’s ready to grow up in a loving home where playtime, cuddles, and adventure are part of the daily routine.

May is available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5. Stop by and let May put a little extra spring in your step!
