John E Venezia Sr., of Peachtree City

John E Venezia Sr. passed away on March 29, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 14, 1915.

He was a twelve year resident of Peachtree City. He is survived by his two daughters Linda Reed of Peachtree City, Kathleen Kujawski of Riverhead, N.Y. and his son John Venezia Jr. of Ormond Beach Fla., nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grand children.

John was over a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired in 1972 to Florida from his Vee Ready Mix Concrete business that he operated in Deer Park, N.Y. He then moved to Peachtree City, Ga. to live with his daughter in 2002. He loved to dance and be around people. One of his favorite expressions were “What are you gonna do?” He lived by the motto, “One day at a time.” He lived a long and wonderful life. John and Louise (our mom) took many cruises. They also loved traveling in their motor home. He enjoyed life to the fullest. A wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Remembrances can be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 8081 scholarship fund, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.

A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2 p.m.
