Matthew and Anne Franklin of Peachtree City, Georgia announce the engagement of their daughter, Chloe Leigh Franklin to 2LT John Christopher Long, son of Dr. James and Lisa Long of Newnan, Georgia.

The bride-to-be is is the granddaughter of Weldon and Betsy Franklin of Dallas, Texas and the late Frank McArdle, of Duxbury, Massachusetts and Joanne McArdle of Pembroke, Massachusetts.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Quince and Pat Burton, of Newnan, Georgia and the late Sam Long and Bernice Long of Buffalo, New York.

Chloe will be a December 2014 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and will hold a bachelor of science degree in Biology.

John is a 2013 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a bachelor of science degree in Economics.

A January 2015 wedding at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, Georgia is planned.

After their honeymoon in St. George, Granada, the couple will reside in Pooler, Georgia with their pug, Doug.
