Robert J. Burch Elementary School is celebrating its Silver Anniversary of 25 years with some special t-shirts that reflect the past.

The faculty and staff received a commemorative anniversary t-shirt with a design that is a replica of the original Burch t-shirt design from the school’s inaugural year, 1990.

Shown in the center of the picture is current Burch third grade teacher Melissa Nelms, who was one of the original Burch Bears. She is holding a shadow box displaying the original t-shirt.

Laura Higgins, another third grade teacher, and Carolyn Smith, a paraprofessional, were both original faculty members opening the Tyrone school in 1990. They continue to be Burch faculty members.
