0Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites the community to Ash Wednesday services on Feb. 18 at 12:15 and 7 p.m.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the 40-day season of Lent, when many Christians engage in self-examination in preparation for Easter.
Services at COS include a unique service structure, a sermon, Holy Communion, and the option to receive ashes on the forehead, remembering “Dust thou art, and to dust thou shalt return.”
The 7 p.m. service also offers an anthem by the Sanctuary Choir.
