The Senoia Area Historical Society will host a local author Thursday, April 14th, at 7 p.m. at the museum/headquarters at 6 Couch Street. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30.

F. Martin Harmon will share insights into two of his recent books.

One is “The Warm Springs Story: Legacy & Legend,” a 200-year complete history of not just FDR’s Warm Springs but also the history of what many consider a largely hidden historic jewel.

The other is “Charles ‘Lefty’ Driesell: a Basketball Legend,” the first biography of the legendary college basketball coach who became the first ever to lead 4 NCAA schools, including Georgia State, to more than 100 career wins.

Harmon is a veteran journalist with 43 years of experience and most recently was public relations director for Georgia’s Roosevelt Ware Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. He and his wife Sharon now reside in Senoia.

It is not necessary to be a member of the society to attend this event.
