Numerous descendents of Revolutionary War soldier Willis West, Sr., were joined by several chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution on June 13 to dedicate West’s grave marker in the small cemetery on a hill overlooking Westbridge Road in north Fayette County. A member of the North Carolina Continental Line during the American Revolution, West and his family moved from North Carolina to Fayette County in the 1820s. Photo/Ben Nelms.
