Mr. and Mrs. William H. Huddleston of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Ann, to Jeffrey Carter Scurry of Brooks.

Julia is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Hugh Huddleston of Peachtree City and Mr. and Mrs. Milton R. Ash also of Peachtree City.

Carter is the son of Jeff Scurry and Cindy Scurry, and the grandson of Charlotte Scurry and the late Martin Scurry of Jonesboro, Delores Moreland of Peachtree City, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Carter of Fayetteville.

Carter and Julie are both graduates of Starr’s Mill High School.

Julie completed her bachelor of science in nursing, and is currently working as a registered nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Emory University Hospital.

Carter continued his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in management with a certificate in finance and is currently working as an account manager for Insight Global in Atlanta.

The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. The newlyweds will honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico and reside in Atlanta.
