Choice is clear in PTC: Prebor over Robinson

On Nov. 3, Peachtree City will have only one contested race on the ballot: Post 1 on City Council, vacated by Eric Imker.

The two candidates, Phil Prebor and Shayne Robinson, come to us with similar public experience. Phil serves on the PTC Planning Commission and Shayne on the Recreation Advisory Board.

History, however, gives us an important line of distinction between these two candidates, one that clearly delineates the box we should check.

A few months ago, the Great Wolf Lodge, with all of its accompanying variances, land use exceptions, and encroachment into our neighborhoods came knocking at our door. After hearing from a very vocal and opposed citizenry, the idea was voted down unanimously by City Council.

Phil Prebor spoke and voted against it as a member of the Planning Commission; Shayne Robinson spoke and presented at the City Council meeting in favor of allowing the Great Wolf Lodge to build in our community.

The right choice is abundantly clear.
