The annual Women’s History Storytelling Concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in the Floy Farr Room of the Peachtree City Library. Admission is free.

The theme is “Working To Form A More Perfect Union: Honoring Women In Public Service And Government.”

“The National Women’s History Month theme for 2016 honors women who have shaped America’s history and its future through their public service and government leadership,” according to a statement.

“Women’s History comes alive with the help of talented Women’s History Storytellers from Georgia. These ladies served by being dedicated educators, librarians, employees, military officers and military enlisted persons for the federal, state, county or parish, city and local governments.”

Local storyteller retired government employee Lucille Campbell will emcee this program, which co-sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3650, Southern Crescent Storytellers, and The Friends of the Peachtree City Library.
