One of Promise Place’s major fundraisers is its annual Run to End Domestic Violence, scheduled this year for Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. It is a 5K run and one-mile walk with wheelchair athletes being added this year.

As an added incentive to increase awareness and bring more participation to the event, organizers are launching a T-shirt design contest this year. The t-shirt contest will be centered around the theme “Run/Walk/Roll to end Domestic Violence” using the Promise Place logo.

The winning T-shirt design will be announced at the Oct. 7 event and the winner will receive a $500 prize, with $250 for second place.

Each participant in the race/walk will receive a T-shirt as a special momento.

Designs should be submitted to Delores Epps at [email protected] before Sept. 9 to be considered.
