A candidate forum originally scheduled for Sept. 29 sponsored by Fayette Visioning has been cancelled.
A spokesperson said the change was made “due to scheduling challenges prohibiting several candidates’ ability to attend the Sept. 29 forum.”
There is still a forum scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 27, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Fayette County Public Library, 1821 Heritage Park Way in Fayetteville.
Candidates expected to attend are vying for the following seats: District 1 on the Board of Commissioners; Districts 1 and 5 on the Board of Education; tax commissioner; and Districts 71 and 73 in the Georgia State House.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for the event.
