Boy Scouts and Leaders of Troop 79 attended a 4-hour, Junior Leader Training workshop at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone, Georgia on Saturday, Nov. 21. The workshop was facilitated by Bill Cain, Program Chairman, Sepohayetv District, Flint River Council, BSA.

The purpose of the workshop is to train the junior leaders of a troop in the fundamental techniques of good leadership, which will serve them not only in scouting but also throughout their lives. Workshop topics included – Uniform Inspection, Setting the Example, Development of Group Attitude, Definition of Leadership, Junior Leader Job Descriptions, Patrol Organization and the Patrol in the Troop, How to Win Respect and Be a Good Leader, Consider Your Resources, Planning-the First Key to Success, Six Problem Solving Steps, and What to Do When All Else Fails.

Troop 79 meets on Mondays at 7 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone, Georgia.
