The Fayette County Civitan Club presented a $5,000 check this week to the Joseph Sams School. Receiving the check was Amy Murray, executive director of the school.
The Civitan Club has multiple fundraising events during the year, including a pecan sale in the fall and an onion sale in the spring. The primary focus is to help people with developmental disabilities.
