Mrs. Hazel Inez Wright, of Fayette County, went on to be with the Lord on July 15, 2017.

Hazel was born October 25, 1923 in Crisp County, Ga. to the late Earnest and Lillye Staines. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Jonesboro, and she also enjoyed cooking and volunteering her time. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Gwen Ivey, her son Loran Wright, and granddaughter Wendy Wright. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Julius C. Wright; son James C. (Brenda) Wright; daughters, Melba (Jacky) Matthews, Myra (Bruce) Mask, Sherri (Mike) Burdette; son-in-law Gene Ivey; daughter-in-law Randy Wright; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Robert Staines and sister Carole Ivey.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
