   As a fairly new resident to Peachtree City, I am very puzzled at the apparent lack of understanding the Planning Commission has as to what this area needs. A bank? Wow, I’m so excited that a bank will now be located at The Avenues. Going to run right over there now that there will be a bank, you know, because a bank is really needed there in a prime retail space. Gee, what kind of restaurant are we going to get with it? One with a drive-through – doesn’t sound promising. A chain, no doubt, because we all know that PTC doesn’t have enough of those here.

   My two biggest gripes as a new-comer and of those that are also new-comers – restaurants, and the horrible traffic planning on 54 near all the retail, heading west towards Coweta. No more chain or fast-food restaurants. PTC is in desperate need of REAL food. And for the love of all that is holy, fix the traffic nightmare on 54. Who would ever think of locating a Home Depot and Walmart with only one way in and out? Let’s get some traffic light synchronization, while you’re at it.
