Piedmont-Fayette Hospital and North Fayette United Methodist Church wanted to give back to the Fayette County community so they decided to donate school supplies to the school system’s student services department to ensure that all students were prepared for the new school year.

To help with this community project, Piedmont-Fayette Hospital hosted a drive where hundreds of employees donated school supplies, including book bags, notebooks, markers, and crayons, etc.

Additionally, North Fayette United Methodist Church donated more than $1,000 to help students in need as well as several boxes full of school supplies. Members of the church continue to make donations throughout the year to ensure that the needs of students are addressed at all times.

Director of Student Services Audrey Toney says, “We are so appreciative to our community partners for ensuring that all Fayette County students are prepared with resources for success.”

The Fayette County Public School student services department encompasses a wide variety of programs designed to meet the needs of students.
