Starr’s Mill High School Varsity Competition Cheerleaders have been named the Georgia Team of the Year by the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association (GCCA). The cheerleaders will be recognized this spring at the GCCA Spring Conference in Jekyll Island.  The award is Georgia’s premier award to recognize hard-working, committed and successful cheerleading programs across the state. Cheerleading is about athletics, academics, and service to the community. This award takes each aspect into consideration when seeking to recognize the top program in the state.  The team also won State Runner Up in the 5A division.  Mandy Ratliff returned as head coach this year accompanied by Kristie Hayward and Olivia Phillips.
